we invited c.c. and her partner to our house for thanksgiving last year along with another friend and my brother. it was a festive affair. as a house gift, c.c. gave us a sculpture from rock and clay that was painted pinkish-purple. she told me, "it's a penis and a vagina!" and so it was. i remembered then that c.c. had been working on various projects exploring the beauty of female genetalia. kind of a openly queer georgia o'keefe, or something. this was my attempt to add to that archive. i think that i was blushing the whole time i painted it, but i think it turned out quite pretty.
